Steven Mason is a licensed private investigator with 18 years of prior federal and state law enforcement investigative experience. At the time Mr. Mason formed Mason Investigative Solutions, he was employed as a Senior Inspector Criminal Investigator for the United States Marshals Service.
Throughout Mr. Mason’s career, he has participated in and led our nation during the most complex and sensitive criminal investigations to include the attacks on September 11th, U.S. Marshals Top 15 Most Wanted cases, Illinois Licenses for Bribes Corruption probe, investigation of federal escapees, discrete locates for international war crime suspects, investigation of serial killers and the capture of numerous individuals wanted for murdering government officials. Additional assignments include the Illinois Secretary of State Director’s Staff, Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) Coordinator, U.S. Marshals Violent Crimes Task Force Team Leader, Philadelphia Homicide Liaison, and U.S. Marshals Headquarters Operations. At the time of Mr. Mason’s departure from the U.S. Marshals, he was assigned to a headquarters division that specializes in sensitive national security matters.
Mr. Mason has provided instruction and mentorship to local, state and federal investigators in the areas of international investigations, fugitive investigations, interviewing and interrogation, informant development, electronic surveillance, open source intelligence (OSINT) and vulnerability assessment. He is trained and certified as a Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Adjunct Instructor.
To compliment Mr. Mason’s vast investigative experience, he holds a bachelor’s degree from the American Military University in Intelligence, graduating Summa Cum Laude (GPA 4.0) and a certificate in Private Investigation from Ashworth College. Mr. Mason has been recognized for superior academic performance and subsequently inducted into the Golden Key International Honor Society, National Honor Society and Who’s Who Among College Students.
